Stellar Industries, Inc. has introduced the EC6000 crane to the EC Series crane line. This new environmentally friendly model was developed based on customer request. The EC6000 is a 6,000-lb capacity crane with hydraulic and manual boom reach of 21-ft.  Rated at 38,000 ft-lb, the EC6000 features a short stowed length (11.4 ft) and a low profile design (34.41-in.), both of which allow the crane to fit behind the chassis cab. The EC6000 crane, as well as the entire EC Series line, features a “Piggy-Back” or Double Boom design, providing considerably more strength than traditional square boom designs. This new crane also boasts a true worm gear rotation (full 400°) that uses a high-strength steel ball bearing turntable gear, a high-strength steel worm gear, and a cast-steel worm gear housing. The entire EC Series crane line also comes equipped with a state-of-the-art radio remote control and it also uses environmentally friendly hydraulic oil that is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic and that is recyclable and biodegradable.

Other features include specifically designed and manufactured hydraulic cylinders for each particular model, allowing the crane to effectively and efficiently lift what it is designed to lift. The planetary winch system is equipped with a 2.5 hp permanent magnet electric motor with a 199:1 planetary gear reduction system. This ensures that the winch will never quit lifting before it reaches the cranes full rated capacity.
